Historic appointment sparks transformation at Gqeberha school

Herbert de Vos, the first principal of colour at Andrew Rabie High School since its founding in 1953, is leading a transformative era of growth and inclusion in Gqeberha. Appointed in June 2022, the former police officer and seasoned educator has spearheaded the 'Rabie Revolution' to promote diversity, academic rigour, and modernisation.
