The African National Congress has confirmed it will appeal a Gauteng High Court ruling ordering the immediate reinstatement of Andile Lungisa to its Nelson Mandela Bay PR candidate list. The court had earlier declared Lungisa's removal unlawful and unconstitutional, finding the governing party failed to justify its vetting claims or prove that Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula held the unilateral authority to alter the finalised list.
