Stanford Road pump station vandalised, valves stolen

The Stanford Road pump station in Gqeberha was vandalised and valves were stolen after a new transformer was installed this week. The power was switched off at the pump station to replace a transformer and electricity was expected to be restored on Wednesday. However, a municipal notification revealed that while the pump station was off criminals stole valves from the pipeline and vandalised a large isolating valve.
